S01E11. The Greek
Original Broadcast Date: 11 February 1989
Phelps talks to the brewery master (Jim Manser) working on a bottle assembly line at the San Francisco Brewing Company. The bottles are all green.
Phelps: See you're keeping a lid on things.
Brewery Master: Trying to. Everyone wants to get their hands on these babies.
Phelps: Well, it's not easy to find a good dark beer these days.
Brewery Master: You can find the label you're looking for in that box over there [pointing].
Phelps walks over to where there is a box taped shut that is sitting on top of a pile of flattened other boxes. Using a knife, Phelps opens this box on the top. The player is in this box, and Phelps takes it out and places it on the pile.
Good morning, Jim. One of our agents was recently killed in Southeast Asia while keeping surveillance on this man. Socrates Colonnades is a Greek tycoon who uses his luxury yacht to smuggle drugs stolen from international relief organizations, drugs meant as medical supplies for Third World countries. In so doing, Colonnades deprives desperate people of the medical assistance they need. Colonnades has built a network of international dealers to distribute these drugs throughout the world as drugs of addiction. Your mission, Jim, should you decide to accept it, is to neutralize Colonnades and to ensure that his organization no longer preys on the sick and starving of the Third World. As always, should you or any member of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This disc will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Jim.
Phelps closes the recorder and leaves it on the pile of boxes. Smoke billows from it.
